Issue with new version crashing and removing and using an older version

I had been using teracopy v 4.0 for a few weeks and upon transferring files between SSD and NVMe drives crashes occurred so I removed v 4.0 rebooted and ran the installer for 3.17 which worked perfectly now I can no longer install that version as all folders needed have been removed

I also have the issue on 4.0.3.2, but I just made a discovery.

It seems to happen, when right-clicking to open the context menu in Windows Explorer.

It takes a few seconds for the context menu to open, but as soon as it does, TeraCopy closes.

I tried removing “Add to Explorer context menu” from TeraCopy and now the problem is gone.

Update, I just restarted my computer, and the crashes has returned.

Disabling “Add to Explorer context menu” doesn’t seem to fix it any more, but the crash STILL happens, when right-clicking in Windows Explorer (any folder)

    I use TeraCopy 4.0.3.2.

I purchased the software because I frequently need to copy a large number of small files (1 million) while generating a hash value for each. I set up multiple jobs and have them run in sequence.

Unfortunately, TeraCopy keeps crashing on my system as well—especially when launching other programs (such as WizTree). Suddenly, TeraCopy closes and the copy job is aborted.

How can I help to resolve this issue?

Please try the latest build: teracopy4.0.0.27.exe

A few options to try if the v3.17 installer is not working:
