SMB Server Side Copy / FSCTL support

TeraCopyFeature

I recently realized that TeraCopy does not issue FSCTL Offload commands to smb servers when copying/moving files there.

This has cost me quite a bit of time as I didn’t realize it at first.

Would it be possible to implement these commands?

    yeah am also running into this, slow moving between two smb (samba) mounted network shares from same server, have to use windows built-in move/copier

    Getting around to updating this :)

    This topic on the TrueNAS forums revealed (or re-revealed…🤔) this lack of functionality in Teracopy.

    I haven’t spent time to reproduce the issue so taking the existing reports at face value I assume it’s all true.

    It would be nice to have the option with Teracopy to use SSC/FSCTL API calls (assuming that’s what they are). Obviously this could conflict with the transfer verification behavior or maybe there’s a clever way to skip verification as assumed unnecessary (or modified to the task).
