teracopy.aiu file in source directory

Sometimes when I copy or move (I'm not sure which), a teracopy.aiu file is left in the source directory. What's this file for and why is it left in the source directory?

This is a text file used by auto-updater. By default, it should only be written to \ProgramData\Code Sector\TeraCopy\updates\

Hi, Thank you for the reply. Do you have any ideas as to why it's sometimes written to the source directory? I don't know the exact reproduction steps, and it doesn't happen every time. I just know occasionally I will look at the source directory after some time and it's there. I think it started after 3.17, but I'm not positive.

Please click on the 'Automatic updates' button in the TeraCopy preferences and check if the 'Download folder' path is set.

Yes. It's set to my D:\Downloads directory.
